Cast Glass Orange Slice

This is part of a collection of 3 orange wedges, that meet to form a whole orange. I made them all through a complicated casting process (using frit, billet and coldworking and sandblasting the finished piece). I worked on this set of oranges for literally the whole semester! I feel like it was worth it though. I think they turned out quite nice. They're clear and catch the light as well as letting you see the texture of the opaque rind. I tried capturing the feel, color and texture of a real orange.
